Jessica is a graduate from MC College’s Hairstyling program. As our graduate and a Journeyman certified Hairstylist, she has come full circle. From 2008 to 2013, she was a Hairstyling Instructor. Jessica has completed the Instructors Development Program through the National Association of Career Colleges, and has completed workshops on leadership and conflict resolution skills. In addition to her Hairstyling background, Jessica is a Certified Production Accountant through the Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting program at SAIT. Before returning to the MC Team, Jessica worked at Imperial Oil as a Payable Analyst, and worked her way up from Stylist to General Manager at Great Clips.

Dawn has over 20 years of experience as a hairstylist. Her passion for the industry started after she took Cosmetology classes in High School. As a licenced Journeyman stylist, she has worked at Magic Cuts and Great Clips as a stylist and manager.

Taryn is a graduate from MC College’s fashion program in Edmonton. Her love of fashion started at a young age. Growing up, she remembers filling sketchbooks with fashion sketches and fabric swatches. Since graduating, she has worked in retail and sales at Simons, and Scotch & Soda.

Sarah is a Red Seal certified Hairstylist with over 14 years of experience in the industry. Prior to MC College, Sarah worked at Great Clips for 11 years. She has gained valuable knowledge by attending industry seminars such as Redken’s advanced color and styling class, barbering workshop hosted by Phillip Elliott and a Great Clips salon management course. As a Hairstyling Instructor, Sarah looks forward to helping students gain the confidence and technical skills they need in Hairstyling.

Judy graduated with an Esthetics and Hairstyling diploma in Halifax. Soon after graduating in 2010, she started her career at Chatters as an Esthetician and worked her way up as a Service Manager. In 2013, Judy placed in the top three for a Chatters regional makeover competition. She has completed advanced training through Dermalogica, nail art class through Mindy Hardy and workshops focused on marketing and building a clientele.

From barber to educator, Joe is a graduate from MC College’s hairstyling program. With over 17 years of experience in the industry, he is excited to “share his love for the industry and make hair training fun and enjoyable”. Joe has taken master classes in barbering and colouring through Vidal Sassoon, London Barber, Toni & Guy and Schwarzkopf. From 2008 to 2010, Joe previously worked at MC College as a Hairstyling Instructor. In addition to his teaching background, he has also worked at London Barber and Angles salon & spa. 
 


Destiny Normand, Esthetics Instructor

Destiny is a graduate from MC College’s Esthetics program. She has extensive knowledge and advanced training in many areas including: microdermabrasions, chemical peels, CoolSculpting, KineLift, DermaLift, iontophoresis and sonophoresis. Prior to joining the MC College team, she was a Medical Esthetician at the Age Management Institute. From 2010 to 2014, she was a Manager, Educator and Esthetician at Skoah Spa. Destiny has completed an advanced skincare workshop through Dermalogica and has traveled to San Francisco, California to attend a CoolSculpting workshop
 
 


Fowz Sindhu, Esthetics Instructor

Favorite item in your wardrobe: My Harley Davison jacket!
 
Fowz joins the MC team with over 6 years of experience in the spa industry. She has worked at Blended Beauty, the Natural Art of Skincare and at Prfx laser & rejuvenation. Fowz has taken classes and advanced training in medi-spa treatments such as dermaplanning and microneedling. As an educator and esthetician, Fowz loves the industry because of “how ever changing it is. From technology to procedures, it is never a dull moment”.
 


Kiyana Betsaka, Salon & Spa Coordinator

Kiyana has an esthetics diploma from MC College and a hairstyling diploma from Blanche MacDonald. Before joining the MC team, she worked at Beautymark Salon as a stylist and at Skoah as a skincare technician and educator.
