Jessica Reddon, Director

 “Growing up, I was a shy and quiet person. Through salon interactions, I overcame my social anxiety and became a more confident person. I look forward to making students' experiences positive....one that they will reflect over the course of their career. “
Jessica is a graduate from MC College’s Hairstyling program. As our graduate and a Journeyman certified Hairstylist, she has come full circle. From 2008 to 2013, she was a Hairstyling Instructor. During her time as an Instructor, Jessica completed the Instructors Development Program through the National Association of Career Colleges. In addition to her Hairstyling background, Jessica is a Certified Production Accountant through the Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting program at SAIT. Before returning to her stomping grounds, Jessica worked at Imperial Oil as a Payable Analyst, and worked her way up from Stylist to General Manager at Great Clips. 

Diana OpdenDries, Administrator

“Don’t be afraid to take risks! Even if it doesn’t work out as planned, it will be a valuable experience”. 
Diana graduated with an Esthetics Diploma in 2013. She also attended Red Deer College where she majored in Psychology in the Bachelor of Arts program. From Esthetician to Spa owner and Instructor, she has worked at West Park Studio and Spa in Red Deer, and at Stone House Spa in Sylvan Lake. In addition to being an Administrator at MC College, she is a partial esthetics Makeup Instructor. “I love this industry because I love seeing the transformations that make people feel beautiful”. Throughout her career, Diana has obtained certification in lash extensions through International Beauty Services and body sugaring through Alexandria Professional.  She also has sales, inventory and managerial experience working in retail stores such as Suzy Shier, Pseudio Clothing, La Senza and Quark Shoes.

Sarah Curle, Hairstyling Instructor

Sarah has been with MC College since 2011. She is a Red Seal certified Hairstylist with 14 years of experience in the industry. Prior to MC College, Sarah worked at Great Clips for 11 years. She has gained valuable knowledge by attending industry seminars such as Redken’s advanced color class and Great Clips salon management courses. She is currently completing her NACC Instructor Development Program. As a Hairstyling Instructor, Sarah looks forward to helping students gain the confidence and technical skills they need in Hairstyling.

Flora Kahyayan, Hairstyling Instructor

Flora is a Red Seal Certified Hairstylist with 9 years of experience in the industry. Since graduating from MC College in 2005, she has worked at well-known salons such as ‘Izo Bizo’ and ‘Mirada’. She has extensive training with color formulation and strives to learn new trends and techniques. Flora enjoys the salon industry because she loves making others feel and look their best. She is eager to work with MC College so that she can share her knowledge of the industry with future professionals.

Diane Lusby, Hairstyling Instructor

“Learn as much as you can while you can. This is an amazing career choice with endless possibilities as long as you apply yourself”.
Diane is a Red Seal certified Hairstylist with over 19 years of experience. Since graduating with a Hairstyling Diploma, she has worked at Accentric Hair Gallery as a Master Stylist and at Aria Salon/Spa as a Stylist. “Beauty has always been a passion for me. I knew this was right for me from the first time I held shears”. Diane previously worked at MC College from 2010 to 2012 as a Hairstyling Instructor. “I’m excited to be sharing my passion for the hair industry with others who are hungry to learn all about pursuing a career in the field of hairstyling”. Diane has taken advanced cutting and colouring classes with Toni & Guy, Goldwell and Schwarzkopf.

Judy Craveiro, Esthetics Instructor

“I’m excited about my position because I cannot wait to make other individuals feel about our industry and embrace it and be successful just as my instructors did for me...my work ethic and respect for the industry is this way because of them!”
Judy graduated with an Esthetics and Hairstyling diploma in Halifax. Soon after graduating in 2010, she started her career at Chatters as an Esthetician and worked her way up as a Service Manager. “I entered the beauty industry by chance. Little did I know I had opened a door that quickly became my life!”  In 2013, Judy placed in the top three for a Chatters regional makeover competition. From facials to skincare and retailing, she has completed advanced training through Dermalogica. In 2015, she moved to Calgary, Alberta to take the next step in her career. As an Esthetics Instructor, she looks forward to showing students the different pathways you can take in the Spa industry. 

Destiny Normand, Esthetics Instructor

“to be part of educating and cultivating our future estheticians, is a privilege that excites me every day.”
Destiny is a graduate from MC College’s Esthetics program. With her experience as an Esthetician and Educator, she has extensive knowledge and advanced training in many areas including: microdermabrasions, chemical peels, cool sculpting, KineLift, DermaLift, Iontophoresis and sonophoresis. Prior to joining the MC College team, she was a Medical Esthetician at Age Management Institute, where she assisted the doctor with cosmetic procedures. From 2010 to 2014, she was a Manager, Educator and Esthetician at Skoah, a skin care spa. Destiny attends industry workshops on a regular basis to widen her knowledge. Recently, she attended CoolSculpting University in San Francisco, California.
