Nikki McCrimmon, Director

Nikki has known what she wanted to do from a young age. She is a graduate of MC College’s Hairstyling program and became a licensed hairstylist in 2008. After graduating, Nikki worked at Vertigo Hair Company for four years. During that time she became an educator for Eufora and taught Product Knowledge and Mens Design to various salons. Also in that time, Nikki worked with Paul Mitchell at the ABA hair shows. With her impressive experience, Nikki used it to inspire prospective students as an Enrolment Coordinator for MC College. From Enrolment Coordinator to Admissions Leader and now Director, Nikki is excited to use her experience in the salon industry and education industry in her new role.

Diana graduated with an Esthetics Diploma in 2013. She also attended Red Deer College where she majored in Psychology in the Bachelor of Arts program. From Esthetician to Spa owner and Instructor, she has worked at West Park Studio and Spa in Red Deer, and at Stone House Spa in Sylvan Lake. Throughout her career, Diana has obtained certification in lash extensions through International Beauty Services and Madame Lash, and body sugaring through Alexandria Professional.  She also has sales, inventory and managerial experience working in retail stores such as Suzy Shier, Pseudio Clothing, La Senza and Quark Shoes.

Favorite food: I love a charcuterie board...so many options, so good with friends and a glass of wine.
Beauty must have product: Sunscreen and moisturizer...have to combat the signs of aging any way I can!
Kym has been in the salon industry for over 15 years. Realizing her need for a fast-paced and creative career, she enrolled in a hairstyling program. After watching her mentor at a platform show, Kym was inspired to specialize in hair color. She has worked at salons such as Excel, Mirror Mirror, Front Shop and West Coast Beauty. In addition, she was a business consultant for Loreal Professional and an educator at Pureology.  Throughout her career, she has completed advanced colour classes and product knowledge seminars with Dikson, Loreal, Joico and Pureology. She has travelled to Las Vegas to attend an advanced cutting and styling class through HairBrained.

Lindy is a graduate from MC College’s Hairstyling program. With over 10 years of experience in the industry, she has taken advanced colour classes through Aveda, Tigi, Pureology and L’Oreal. In addition, she has taken several MAC cosmetics master classes. Since graduating, she has worked at Loyal Hair Therapy, and has been freelancing in hair and makeup since 2006. Her portfolio includes, doing makeup for presenters at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. 

Christina Janes, Hairstyling Instructor

Christina is a graduate from MC College’s hairstyling program. She is a red seal certified esthetician with over 25 years of experience in the industry. In addition to her educational background, Christina is also a licensed esthetician.  As an educator, she is looking forward to “sharing what I have learned and supporting each student to master their skills”. Throughout her career, she has travelled North America doing hair for a theatre group and has worked as a stylist and makeup artist for local tv shows. She has also worked as a stylist at Fringe hair salon and as a skincare specialist/educator at the Body Shop.  


Lauren Antypowich, Salon & Spa Coordinator

Before joining the MC College team, Lauren worked as a Salon and Spa Coordinator at the Ten Spot. She brings years of experience in customer relationship management and retailing.

Chelsea is a MC College graduate from the Esthetics program in Kelowna. After graduating, she moved to Calgary to work at Esthetica Spa and Diva Hair Salon/Spa. With over 15 years of experience in the industry, she has completed certification in lash extensions, advanced nail sculpting through Premiere Nail Source and IBD, and product knowledge through Footlogix.

Tia Jervis, Salon & Spa Coordinator

“Feel the fear and do it anyway!”
What is your beauty must-have item? Lash extensions and artificial nails. I’ll never go without them!
Favorite food: Sushi.
Tia’s interest in the beauty industry first started when she took a cosmetology class at Mount Boucherie High School. She has worked at O Spa Health & Wellness Centre, New Image Salon & Spa, Total E’clips Salon & Spa, and at MC College as a Salon & Spa Coordinator. In addition to her background in the beauty industry, she is a dance teacher and owner of Ticàliè Irish Dance Academy.
