Vanessa started her career with the MC College team in 2000 as an Administrative Assistant. From there, she excelled to the position of Director. She has taken numerous classes such as ‘5 Keys to Success’ and ‘Advanced Skills for Administrative Assistants’ through the Banff Academy for Business. She is also trained in Emergency First Aid and CPR, and is currently on the Board of Directors for SACC. 
 


Rachel Hill, Administrator

What’s on your bucket list? Visit Times Square in New York and travel coast to coast through Canada! 
 
Rachel is a graduate from MC College’s hairstyling program. With nearly 10 years of experience in the beauty industry, she has taken advanced cutting and colouring classes through Artego, Unite and Kevin Murphy, and retailing classes through Bernard Cassière. In addition, Rachel has certificates in waxing, makeup artistry and eyelash extensions. 
 


Taylor Froese, Enrolment Coordinator

Favorite food: ice cream
Beauty must have product: dry shampoo. Either for that day two hair or messy beach waves, it's my go to look.
 
Taylor is a graduate from MC College’s Hairstyling program. She has worked at Merle Norman Salon/Spa, and at Visions Salon/Spa as a Stylist and Lash Extension Artist. In addition to her background in the industry, Taylor has experience in sales and customer service working as a Sales Associate and Manager at Aldo Shoes, and as a Receptionist at California Fitness. Coming from the Beauty Industry, Taylor understands the importance of continual education. She has taken retail and cutting classes hosted by international hairstylist, Wayne Grund.
 


Marg Ellis, Hairstyling Instructor


Marg has been part of the MC College team since 2008 and brings with her over 27 years experience in the Beauty Industry. Marg's education began in 1984 when she apprenticed in Manitoba. After moving to Saskatoon in 1987, Marg began to supplement her knowledge with many different classes and seminars - thesed include numerous color classes, leadership seminars, product knowledge courses and First Aid. She has also taken the "Ultimate Customer Service" course at the Native Leadership Academy a Salon Psychology seminar and is currently completing her NACC Instructor Development Program.


Chelsea Kowalchuk, Hairstyling Instructor

Chelsea is Journeyman certified hairstylist with over 12 years of experience. As a graduate from MC College’s hairstyling program, she is excited to return as a hairstyling instructor. She has worked at the Hairstyle Inn, the Lemon Tree Salon & Studio and Tommy Guns Barbershop. From 2012 to 2015, she owned a Planet Beach Spray & Spa. 
 


Candice Laczko, Hairstyling Instructor


Candice is a MC College graduate and has been a Hairstyling Instructor at the Saskatoon campus since 2011. She brings with her 5 years of experience in the industry. Along with her Hairstyling diploma, Candice has attained her Nail Technician Certificate, Waxing Certificate and Eyebrow/Eyelash Tinting Certificate – all done at MC College. She has attended many design classes and ABA shows. Candice has extensive knowledge on many hair product lines and is certified in First Aid and CPR.



Sheila Sparks, Hairstyling Instructor

What's on your bucket list: go zip lining in New Zealand
 
Sheila has been a Hairstyling Instructor and part of the MC College team since September of 2003. She brings over 25 years of experience in the Beauty Industry. She is a former owner of Mane Frame Hair and Body Spa and has supplemented her education with numerous training sessions and seminars – these include advanced cut/color classes, Pivot Point Mindful Teaching classes and Salon Psychology seminars. She is a Master Colorist and has her CPR/First Aid, WHMIS training and has completed the NACC Instructor Development Program.
 


Sheila Wilson, Hairstyling Instructor


Sheila is a MC College Hairstyling graduate who brings with her over 21 years of experience in the Beauty Industry. She has been with MC College since 2004. Sheila is also trained in Esthetics and has received her Nail Technician, Waxing, Eyelash/Eyebrow Tinting, Pedicure, Facials, and Manicure certificates. She has also completed the Make-Up course at Sebastian Trucco. To add to her vast knowledge, Sheila has attended multiple product knowledge and color classes.


Aimee Lepage, Esthetics Instructor

Favorite food: Big Macs!!
Beauty tip: always use sunscreen.
 
Aimee is a graduate of MC College’s Esthetics program. For over 4 years, she worked at Vivid Hair and Esthetics. Aimee has competed in several nail art competitions, such as: Nailpro in Las Vegas and Clearly Nails in Saskatoon, where she won second place in the 3D Nail Art category. Throughout her career, she has completed advanced nail art training with Amore and Mosaic Nails, and has attended SST make-up classes. In addition, she has taken classes in brow and lash extensions through NovaLash.
 

 



Carrie Price, Esthetics Instructor

Carrie has an Esthetics diploma from MC College Saskatoon. Soon after graduating, she moved to Calgary, where she trained as a Laser Technician at a private medical clinic, and worked at Stillwater Spa. While working in Calgary, she received a White Hat Award for excellence in customer service. Carrie then moved back to Saskatoon, where she worked at Oshun House MedSpa as a Sales Supervisor. With over 17 years of experience in the industry, Carrie has completed training in advanced skincare with Dermalogica, microblading, lash extension and product knowledge through SST cosmetics and IBD nails.
 


Jolene Skelton, Esthetics Instructor

What’s on your bucket list? Run a marathon
 
Jolene started her career in Esthetics as a “chance to serve and help others”. Since graduating from MC College’s Esthetics program, she has taken advanced classes in skincare, facials with machines and makeup artistry. At MC graduation, Jolene won the Valedictorian, Citizenship, Academic and Frank Cairo award. Jolene worked at Damara Day Spa. Her passion for the industry led her to win a silver medal in the esthetics category at Skills Canada. 
 


Helen Ross, Salon/Spa Coordinator


Helen has been part of the MC College team for over 14 years and brings with her 35 years of experience in the Beauty Industry. She has held the position of Salon/Spa Coordinator and Hair Design Instructor. Helen's training began as a Pivot Point graduate in 1976 and has not slowed down – she has attended numerous cutting, color and color correction classes, along with various Esthetics courses. She has her Nail Technician, Microdermabrasion and Facial certificates. With her many years experience in the beauty industry, Helen intends on helping mollisa krd our students into professional, people-oriented individuals.



Maddie Murtland, Salon & Spa Coordinator

Favorite item in your wardrobe: All of my shoes! 
 
Maddie attended the University of Saskatchewan where she majored in general arts. She got started in the beauty industry after working as a receptionist and salon assistant at Salon Pure for 2 years.
