Anna brings over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry to MC College. She is a certified Esthetician with CIDESCO training, a prestigious international qualification. Throughout her career, Anna has organized events and platform shows for top industry leaders and platform artists: Anthony Edge (International Artistic Director, Label M), Wayne Grund (Founder, Surface Hair), Jeff Louis (National Artistic Director, Artego) and Schorem Barbers. She has also worked alongside with Sharon Shape-Titus, Founder of SST cosmetics. In addition, she has done hair and make up for Winnipeg Fashion Week and for the Winnipeg Women Magazine. From being an Esthetician to a Manager at ESP Salon Sales, it was only natural for Anna to start a career in the education side of the Beauty Industry. As a Director, she is “excited to see students come up with ideas and see those ideas come to life”.
Amy pursued her passion for the beauty industry by completing her education at the European School of Esthetics in 1998 and at the Pollock School of Beauty in Hairstyling in 1999. In 2002, Amy received her Red Seal/Journeyman license. For 12 years, she worked at four salons in the Winnipeg region and worked with multiple product lines including Schwarzkopf, Redken, ISO, and Rusk. Amy hopes to inspire our students by increasing student motivation, confidence, awareness and understanding while providing them the skills and tools needed to become successful in their chose career as a hairstylist.
Cindy has over 20 years of experience as a Film and Television Make-up Artist, Esthetician & Certified Massage Therapist. She has an Esthetics diploma from a Cosmetology School in Kamloops, BC and a diploma in Remedial Massage from the Western College of Remedial Massage Therapists. Throughout her career, she has worked as an Esthetician and Massage Therapist at Riverstone Spa, Educator for Jane Iredale, Franchise Owner of Merle Norman and as a Makeup Artist for the Motion Picture Association of Canada. Since 2006, she has been the lead Makeup Artist for CBC Winnipeg. Cindy has done makeup for the movie, Jumanji, and has done makeup on celebrities such as Cher, Prince, Robin Williams and Justin Beiber to name a few.

Margarita is an Esthetician and make-up artist with over 10 years of experience in the beauty industry. In addition to her esthetics diploma, she is a graduate of CMU College of Makeup Art & Design’s Make up Artistry Program, located in Toronto. She has attended special effects and master makeup artistry classes with MAC cosmetics. In 2005, Margarita moved to Greece where she was a Spa Manager and Esthetician at a five-star hotel, ‘The Majestic Hotel’. After living in Greece for 3 years, Margarita moved back to Winnipeg to work as an Esthetician and Makeup Artist at Riverstone Spa and at Pure Escape. Since 2007, she has been a freelance makeup artist, specializing in film and bridal makeup. She has worked on film sets such as ‘Intersection’ and ‘Bandages’.
Lisa graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelors Degree in Textile Sciences. After spending time in France to complete her education in fashion merchandising at L' Universite de la Mode, she returned home and is now a co-owner of 'Local Shop Awesome' which specializes in custom clothing production. She has also worked at Moores Clothing for Men in the Tailoring and Sales department. In university, Lisa inteneded to beome an Architect but after enrolling in a textile sciences course, she was inspired to start a career in the fashion industry. As a Fashion Design Instructor, Lisa looks forward to working through the creative process with students and watching them grow as a designer.
Brenda is the Pattern Drafting and Apparel Production instructor. Brenda’s background includes a B of H.Ec., Certificate in Education, and Certificate in Vocational Education, as well as, over 20 years’ experience in teaching fashion technology courses. In addition, she occasionally works on TV and film productions as a costumer. Her volunteer experience includes Skills Canada committee work at the provincial and national levels. She has also participated in World Skills as a trainer for Switzerland (competitor placed 4th in the world) official Canadian observer in Japan and as the host country Workshop Supervisor of the Fashion Technology Competition in both Canada and the United Kingdom. Brenda is a member of The Canadian Executive Service Organization volunteering her expertise to assist in economic development projects. Her recent posting was in El Alto, Bolivia. Brenda is currently the regional representative for the Apparel Affinity Group of Fashion College educators.
Chanel is a Red Seal certified Hairstylist. Before joining the MC College team, she worked behind the chair at First Impressions Hair and Skin Team. Understanding the importance of continuing education, she has completed advanced workshops in retail, cuts, colour and men’s barbering through Aveda. With her Hairstyling background, Chanel looks forward to assisting students while learning about the education side of the Beauty Industry. She is passionate about giving back to the community and has volunteered her time and craft at fundraisers such as: Tulips and Tea in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and Missing Pieces in support of Autistic research.
