Anna McGregor , Director

Must have beauty product: Brows by G browluxe precision brow pencil. Eyebrows are life. NEVER EVER leave the house without those eyebrows looking perfect. It makes or breaks your entire look!
What's on your bucket list? Travel to New York, Paris, Italy not in that particular order.
Anna brings over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry to MC College. She is a certified Esthetician with CIDESCO training, a prestigious international qualification. Throughout her career, Anna has organized events and platform shows for top industry leaders and platform artists: Anthony Edge (International Artistic Director, Label M), Wayne Grund (Founder, Surface Hair), Jeff Louis (National Artistic Director, Artego) and Schorem Barbers. She has also worked alongside with Sharon Shape-Titus, Founder of SST cosmetics. In addition, she has done hair and make up for Winnipeg Fashion Week and for the Winnipeg Women Magazine. From being an Esthetician to Manager at ESP Salon Sales, it was only natural for Anna to start a career in the education side of the Beauty Industry. 

Amy Officer, Administrator

Amy pursued her passion for the beauty industry by completing her education at the European School of Esthetics in 1998 and at the Pollock School of Beauty in Hairstyling in 1999. In 2002, Amy received her Red Seal/Journeyman license. For 12 years, she worked at four salons in the Winnipeg region and worked with multiple product lines including Schwarzkopf, Redken, ISO, and Rusk. Amy hopes to inspire our students by increasing student motivation, confidence, awareness and understanding while providing them the skills and tools needed to become successful in their chose career as a hairstylist. 

Kaitlyn Gaetz, Enrolment Coordinator

“The best investment you can make is always in yourself”
Kaitlyn has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba and a Medical Office Assistant Certificate from Camosun College.  She is no stranger to the beauty industry. “The industry is so diverse and seeing individuals create their image of beauty is what makes the industry so beautiful”. Prior to MC College, she worked at Oliver Reis Salon and at a cosmetology school as a Guest Services Coordinator.  Kaitlyn has gained managerial, sales and marketing experience working as a Medical Office Assistant at Revera Parkview Place, Assistant Manager at Tan FX and as a Retail Manager at Breezy Bend Country Club’s Golf Shop. She is passionate about giving back to the community and has volunteered her time for not-for-profit organizations such as the Children’s Wish Foundation and the Children’s Hospital Foundation.


Nathan Beaton, Hairstyling Instructor

Favorite food: A good steak.
What’s on your bucket list? Build a cabin.
Nathan has over 23 years of experience as a hairstylist. He got started in the industry because he “wanted a career that he could travel with and could be a creative outlet”. As a hairstyling instructor, he understands the importance of continual education. Nathan has taken advanced training in hair extensions, educator training, cutting and colouring through Redken, Hotheads, Davines, L’oreal and Schwarzkopf.

Chancy Elliot, Hairstyling Instructor

“I love seeing that AHA moment when a student has grasped an idea or concept… I can’t wait to act as a source of inspiration while sharing my knowledge and experiences.”
Chancy launched her career in the Hairstyling Industry as an Educator with Biosilk. From 1997 to 2011, she was a Product Educator and Platform Artist for Farouk Systems. Throughout her career with them, Chancy travelled across North America doing platform shows at the International Beauty Services and the Allied Beauty Association shows as well as many distributer hosted educational events. In addition, she has done hair backstage for the contestants of the 2008 Miss Universe Pageant in Nassau, Bahamas. For the past 16 years, she was the Owner and Master Stylist at Valhalla Salon in Hillside Beach, Manitoba, and was the Canadian Education & Sales Manager for FHI Heat Inc. 

Deseray Thiessen, Hairstyling Instructor

Favorite food: Chili.
Beauty must have product: A root lifter for voluminous hair.
If you would makeover anyone, who would it be? My Mom. She colours her own hair with box color for reasons that are unknown.
Deseray brings over 14 years of experience in the industry to MC College. From stylist to educator, she has worked at Regis Salons, Hairology and at a cosmetology school as a hairstyling instructor. Throughout her time at Regis Salons, she won a national award for top retail sales across Canada. Deseray believes in advanced education and has taken cutting and styling classes with Artego, Sam Villa and Paul Mitchell. 

Karen Dziachan, Esthetics Instructor

“Practice, practice, practice! Persevere and eventually it will come naturally”

Karen brings to MC College 18 years of experience in the spa industry. She started her career with a desire to help others. In addition to her diploma in esthetics, Karen has taken advanced classes in eyelash extensions (Micha Lash), advanced pedicure (Gehwol), nail extensions (CND Nail) and has taken spa business management courses. Her passion for the industry helped her win a gold medal in the esthetics category at Skills Canada. She also placed second in the new talent category at the Allied Beauty Association. 

Becky Zaporzan, Esthetics Instructor

What’s on your bucket list? Go on a hot air balloon, travel to Spain and win the lottery!
Favorite food: Perogies.
With over 12 years of experience as an esthetician, Becky has taken advanced classes in makeup and artificial nails through SST Cosmetics, LCN and IBD nails. After graduating with an esthetics diploma, Becky started working at the Magic Room Spa. After 3 years, she decided to follow her dreams and become her own boss. 

Jasmine Lozenski, Fashion Instructor

Jasmine is a graduate from MC College’s Fashion Design program in Winnipeg. She loves the industry because of the “constant change…The industry moves fast, always evolving, brings excitement to the world”.  From designer to entrepreneur, she has worked at Nygard as a Visual Merchandiser and is currently the owner of Make Time, an organic skincare line.  

Sybil Ramprashad, Fashion Instructor

“I am excited to share my experiences and provide students with the skills and experience needed to be successful in the fashion industry”

Favorite designer: Pierre Cardin

Sybil graduated from St. Martin’s School of Arts and Technology (now called: Central Saint Martin’s College of Arts and Design) in London, England. Throughout her career, she has worked in clothing manufacturing at Nygard International retail product development (Western Glove Works, Ricki’s and Warehouse One) and Fashion Design education (Fanshaw College and Sherridan College)

Top 3 things on your bucket list: Hike the Mantari trail, drive a race car and travel to Hawaii.
Amber has a hairstyling diploma from Lord Selkirk Comprehensive Secondary School. Throughout her career, she has worked at Norma Jean’s Hair & Nail Studio, and Belleza Mente Salon. Amber enjoys the industry because “in the beauty industry, the possibilities are endless”.
